Mission Statement:
In 2009 Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) decided they needed to review their systems for managing relationships and recording information. They researched the various solutions on the market, and found that the one that ticked all the boxes was CiviCRM.At that time they didn’t realise that they had uncovered an opportunity for a new social enterprise that would benefit voluntary organisations in more ways than one.
They quickly saw first-hand how CiviCRM is a powerful tool to improve the efficiency of an organisation’s day-to-day operations, to monitor impact and demonstrate the outcomes of their work. With frontline organisations under increasing pressure to provide solid evidence of their impact, GMCVO saw an opportunity to provide a solution that would help organisations improve their quality and efficiency, and at the same time generate income to support their own charitable purpose.
The team are rapidly building up a national reputation for providing high quality implementation, training, development, hosting and support for the software, and are contributing members of the CiviCRM community.
Part of the profits from GMCVO Databases go back into GMCVO to support other projects and activity that benefits voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in providing much needed services to residents and communities in the Greater Manchester city region.
