An external visitor, a trip to a work place or a work experience placement, were all invaluable. The young people were inspired & enthralled – careers and dreams were sparked.
Also evident was that even those with a wide support network around them struggled to find work placements, what chance did that leave the more vulnerable children? Businesses were scared of negative headlines. Lack of experience was making workforces even more nervous to work around the young and/or vulnerable.
Hence in 2017 Colbe was born, the aim to try and increase the opportunities to those less fortunate. To give the confidence to businesses so they could not only enhance the lives of the vulnerable but also their employees.
