Mission Statement:
The Coaching Communities (CC) programme is designed to generate social value through the alternative funding channels created by a shift in society’s relationship with community. An altered perspective looks to increase levels of physical activity whilst re-aligning Community Sports Organisations (CSOs) as health and wellbeing hubs. This re-focus on social impact offers access to different investment streams, by addressing local needs including community cohesion, health & wellbeing and economic growth, thereby increasing the social value required by funders.
Coaching Communities provides a more business-like approach to the delivery of physical activity in a community setting which will provide the income streams, grants and social investment needed to improve sports facilities. New multi-purpose facilities are designed to accommodate a new range of activities delivered by comprehensive health and wellbeing partnerships, through community programmes in local settings. A successful strategy provides an elegant solution to addressing social challenges in an innovative way by generating a scalable format that will satisfy the requirements of community, business partners and social investors. A business accelerator programme will underpin a sophisticated public-private partnership, generating the sustainable growth needed to develop communities whilst enhancing the business sector’s capacity to deliver mutual social benefits through Shared Value.
