Are you a Greater Manchester social enterprise?
Social Enterprise UK and the social enterprise sector in Greater Manchester need your help to understand the key trends and issues affecting social enterprises in 2023.
Run every two years, State of Social Enterprise (SOSE) is the most comprehensive and respected survey of UK social enterprises. This vital evidence will help shape funding and finance, support initiatives and policy to grow the social enterprise movement. Previous survey findings have been instrumental in developing major legislation including the passing of the Social Value Act, the creation of Big Society Capital and Access - The Foundation for Social Investment. It also informs national and local policy and support.
Taking part in this year’s survey is particularly important as responses from Greater Manchester social enterprises will feed into a local report - providing a valuable snapshot of the State of Social Enterprise across Greater Manchester in 2023.
Rose Marley, Chair of the Social Enterprise Action Group for Greater Manchester and CEO at Co-operatives UK, says:
“I would urge all social enterprises across Greater Manchester to participate in this vital research for our sector. This is a chance to shout about everything we are doing in the city region and by taking part, you are helping to paint the true picture of social enterprise in 2023. The findings will be used by funders, advocates, and policy makers to further enable our social enterprises to thrive across Greater Manchester”
To take part, simply email research@socialenterprise.org.uk to register your interest. You will then be contacted by BMG Research to take the survey at a convenient time.
