The UK is undergoing a demographic shift, with far-reaching consequences for society, the economy and public services.
By 2020, 12.5 million people will be over 65 years old, with people over 50 years old making up 47 per cent of the total adult population.
Over one million British people in later life say they always or often feel lonely. More than 60 per cent of people in later life agree that age discrimination exists in their daily lives and 76 per cent feel that the country fails to make good use of their skills and talents.
Social entrepreneurs can offer innovative and inclusive solutions that contribute to aging well. UnLtd are looking for social ventures working to improve outcomes for our ageing society around independence, connectedness and health & wellbeing.
